Neighbor Loyalty
Award
This award is given to
a woman in our club who is unable to complete her two years in NNL due to transferring out of Stark County. She has contributed her time to NNL with unselfish devotion, a caring attitude, remarkable enthusiasm,
and brought fun and friendship to others in our club. She receives a silver “Fun
& Friendship” loyalty pin or charm, a certificate, and a flower.
New Neighbor of
the Month
Upon joining NNL, a “New
Neighbor of the Month” sheet is started for each new member. This is an
ongoing record that documents participation, chairmanships, offices and contributions made to NNL during the member’s
first two years of membership. Subsequent to completing her two years, her record
is reviewed by the Board advisors for award consideration, a vote is taken and the winner decided.
The “New Neighbor
of the Month” award is presented at a luncheon or social. The surprise
presentation is given by a special presenter to honor the member’s participation and volunteer contributions. The “New Neighbor of the Month” receives a rose flower, a certificate, a silver rose charm
or pin and a gold rose pin.
After the presentation,
the “New Neighbor of the Month” is given a copy of her sheet to review.
If accepted, she signs and dates her sheet. As a “New Neighbor of
the Month” she automatically qualifies for the “New Neighbor of the Year” award presented by NNL.
Local New Neighbor
of the Year
In November, invitations
are sent out to each “New Neighbor of the Month” inviting them to a special luncheon, in their honor, held after
the first of the year. Voting for the “New Neighbor of the Year" is done
anonymously, by the new Board installed in November. The President and Club Director
tally the results and the Club director presents the “New Neighbor of the Year” at the special luncheon. The “New Neighbor of the Year” receives a special personal gift, a rose
flower, a certificate, a gold “New Neighbor of the Year” pin and the centerpiece on the head table.
National New Neighbor
of the Year
Our local “New Neighbor
of the Year” qualifies to receive the National New Neighbor of the year award. Her
sheet and NNL biography are submitted to national headquarters where they will be reviewed along with other NNL chapter
“New Neighbor of the Year” members. One outstanding woman is chosen
to be National New Neighbor of the Year with two runners-up. The winner receives
a 14-carat Gold National New Neighbor of the Year pin and a certificate from national headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The runners-up receive certificates. This award is based on 70% NNL club activities and 30% outside activities and volunteer
work.
President’s
Award
In honor of her position
as President of NNL, the outgoing president receives a President’s gavel charm at the Installation Banquet and a personal
gift at the Combined Board Dinner. The incoming President receives the President’s
gavel and the centerpiece from the installation banquet.
